Music Therapy

Music therapy is a practice where the therapist uses music to help their clients achieve therapeutic goals through the musical and therapeutic relationship. It can help to build self-confidence, self-esteem, unlock memories, improve communication where words may have failed, socially connect with family, friends or within their community.

A music therapist is trained in psychological interventions using music as a primary mode of communication. They tune into their clients’ movements, expressions, musical or verbal response whilst providing a safe space for them to explore.
